Criminal Defence
Alexa is regularly instructed to defend in single and multi-handed cases in the Crown Court. These range from violent and sexual offences to those related to the supply and possession of drugs and dishonesty.
Alexa has experience in dealing with young defendants. She has completed specialist Youth Justice advocacy training with the Youth Justice Legal Centre.

Alexa is a CPS Grade 3 prosecutor and has experience of prosecuting a wide range of criminal offences in the Crown Court including in multi-handed trials.
Alexa also has experience working with the National Crime Agency (NCA) including the review of legally privileged material as independent counsel.

R v WC, Canterbury Crown Court [2024]
Alexa was led prosecution counsel in a murder trial. The defendant was convicted at the conclusion of the 3-week trial.
R v AO and others, Oxford Crown Court [2024]
Alexa successfully defended AO of being involved in a drug supply operation despite the conviction of his co-defendant, maintaining AO’s good character.
R v KM, Canterbury Crown Court [2023]
Alexa secured the acquittal of KM who had been charged with facilitating the illegal entry of two migrants to the UK.
R v AA, Isleworth Crown Court [2023]
Alexa was instructed to represent AA at trial who was charged with intentional strangulation and battery, securing an acquittal for intentional strangulation.
R v SY, Snaresbrook Crown Court [2023]
Alexa prosecuted SY in an actus reus trial, SY having been unfit to plead or stand trial. The jury found SY had done the act of ABH.
R v GP, Southwark Crown Court [2023]
Alexa was led defence counsel in a private prosecution of a multi-million pound complex fraud.
R v A, Taunton Crown Court [2022]
Alexa successfully defended A charged with four offences of ABH and common assault in a prison context.

Alexa prosecuted ZN for s.20 GBH, satisfying the jury that the defendant was not acting in self-defence.
