Criminal Defence
Alexa has experience of defending a wide range of criminal offences in the Crown, Youth and Magistrates’ Court. These range from violent and sexual offences to those related to the supply and possession of drugs and dishonesty.
Alexa has experience in dealing with young defendants. She has completed specialist Youth Justice advocacy training with the Youth Justice Legal Centre.

Alexa is a CPS Grade 3 prosecutor and has experience of prosecuting a wide range of criminal offences in the Crown, Youth and Magistrates’ Court. She has experience in prosecuting multi-handed trials.
She is also instructed in private prosecutions, including Royal Mail Group.
Alexa also has experience working with the National Crime Agency (NCA) including the review of legally privileged material as independent counsel.

R v A, Taunton Crown Court [2022]
Alexa successfully defended A charged with four offences of ABH and common assault in a prison context.
R v P, Canterbury Crown Court [2022]
Alexa prosecuted P for dangerous driving, satisfying the jury that the defendant was the driver of the vehicle.
R v N, Woolwich Crown Court [2022]
Alexa prosecuted N for s.20 GBH, satisfying the jury that the defendant was not acting in self-defence.
R v R and W, Wood Green Crown Court [2022]
Alexa prosecuted R and W for burglary, satisfying the jury that the defendants by way of joint enterprise had trespassed and stolen.

Alexa secured the acquittal of L charged with having a bladed article in a public place.
