"MALA's Annual Ball is legendary. Taking place every year since 2005 it did not escape Covid; however, it's now back!
It is an institution on the Midlands Circuit. Every year, over 550 solicitors, barristers and judges celebrate the achievement of Asian lawyers and the diversity of the legal profession at Athena.
Every year, MALA is honoured to receive a guest speaker from the judiciary to share their insight and experience and this year we are honoured to welcome The Hon. Mr Justice Choudhury.
We are grateful to this year's lead sponsor Forensic Equity. This year's ticket sales will support a local charity through Charity Link, helping those facing hardship. Previously, MALA's chosen charities included: True Honour, supporting victims of honour-based violence, and Midland Langar Seva Society, which provides food & support to homeless people. The 2019 Ball, through ticket sales & fund-raising on the night, raised over £8,000 for these charities."
