Oscar Pistorius: South African State opposes his application for leave to appeal to the Constitutional Court
After the Supreme Court of Appeal in South Africa [ZASCA] convicted Oscar Pistorius of murder in December 2015, the paralympian applied to the Constitutional Court for leave to appeal the murder conviction.
Today (25 January 2016) the Attorney-General’s Offices (the equivalent of the Crown Prosecution Services) delivered affidavits in opposition to Pistorius’ application for leave to appeal, contending that there was no merit in an appeal to the Constitutional Court.
