The Proceeds of Crime and Asset Forfeiture team is one of the go-to sets for POCA work and continues to be ranked at band 2.
Congratulations to Gary Pons for moving up to Band 2 this year for his POCA work:
"A pragmatic hard worker." "He's good at stripping fairly complex issues down to the nuts and bolts of the problem."
Andrew Bird is again ranked as a Star Individual. James Fletcher remains a band 1 leading junior and Sarah Wood continues her ranking within the guide.
"A set well versed in all POCA issues which garners particular praise for representing clients facing confiscation orders and AFOs. Its barristers often act in multi-jurisdictional matters, and are instructed by a broad range of enforcement receivers, defendants and prosecuting authorities. They have an additional specialism in matters with combined family/matrimonial proceedings."

In Crime, the team continues to be recognised and ranked as a band 3 team. View our Criminal Defence page here and our Criminal Prosecution team page here.

Illustrative of its work in this field, one of its members recently secured a not guilty verdict for a high-profile popular musician accused of rape after a performance at a nightclub."
