Congratulations to Dennis Hamill who has been appointed as a lay member of the Fitness to Practise Committee (FTPC) for the Nursing and Midwifery Board, Ireland (NMBI)
The role of the FTPC is to conduct mention hearings (callovers) and inquiries, make findings as to whether the charges and grounds have been proved and to recommend sanctions in respect of those regulated by the NMBI. Dennis is a former Vice-Chair of the Irish Football Association Disciplinary Committee.
Dennis Hamill is a barrister specialising in Professional Discipline & Regulatory law. Dennis accepts instructions to advise and provide representation in disciplinary proceedings for individuals and regulators from various sectors. He has advised and represented the Professional Standards Authority. He regularly appears before fitness to practice and interim order panels.
