Barnaby Hone successfully represented a third-party, in opposing an application under the slip rule to overturn the decision of a CPS prosecutor to withdraw a Confiscation Order on the basis that the CPS had not made an application to extend the two-year period. In this case, he was the primary advocate opposing the application which was made by a leading silk. This has meant that the third parties did not need to re-mortgage their property.
Barnaby specialises in all types of POCA applications, Civil and Criminal. He is regularly instructed by third parties to represent their interests. Barnaby is recognised in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 for his expertise in Asset Recovery and POCA work.
