5SAH Chambers is pleased to announce that Edmund Burge K.C. has been appointed a Deputy High Court Judge, assigned to the King’s Bench Division. The appointment is made by the Lady Chief Justice and is for a period of six years.
Edmund will continue his busy practice alongside his appointment. Congratulations on such a great achievement.
Edmund is a specialist criminal advocate, ranked in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, and is a contributing editor to Phipson on Evidence. He was called by Lincoln’s Inn in 1997 and took Silk in 2019. In addition to his appointment as a Deputy High Court Judge, he is a Recorder of the Crown Court and the County Court, and is authorised to sit at the Old Bailey.
