Chambers congratulates Ini Udom, Barnaby Hone, and John Warrington on their appointments to the List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates. Ini and Barnaby have moved to List A and John has been reappointed to List B.
Maintained by the Attorney-General, the list is for specialist advocates approved to prosecute cases on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Office of Rail and Road, Natural Resources Wales, Care Quality Commission and Office for Product Safety and Standards.
Ini Udom receives instructions in relation to regulatory and fraud/money laundering cases, often advising the client from the outset. She undertakes work in relation to prosecutions brought by local authorities and the Care Quality Commission.
Barnaby Hone prosecutes and defends in regulatory and financial crime matters, which have an asset recovery element. This includes being instructed on a series of high-profile private prosecutions for the Royal Mail group and he is regularly instructed by the Environment Agency.
John Warrington is experienced in a wide range of regulatory crime, including offending related to serious pollution incidents, sewerage, trade effluent, street works, workplace injury and asbestos. His clients include very high turnover statutory undertakers and other such companies. He is regularly instructed on behalf of the prosecution and defence.
