After a 5-day trial at the Croydon Crown Court, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on six counts of domestic abuse.

Ellen Crow’s client was accused of his grievous bodily harm with intent, intentional strangulation, controlling and coercive behaviour and multiple assaults against his ex-partner.

The client argued his ex-partner had falsified the allegations as he would not agree to their family permanently relocating to Greece.

The complainant and her mother had covertly recorded conversations between the complainant and the defendant, and CCTV captured an altercation between them – all of which were played to the Jury.

The jury returned not guilty verdicts on all six counts and the Defendant maintains his good character.

Ellen was instructed by Tai-Ann Fadayomi of Banks & Partners.
